Table of Stamp Duty Rates for House Purchase

Purchase Price Duty
Up to £125,000 Nil
£125,001 - £250,000 1% of entire purchase price
£250,001 - £500,000 3% of entire purchase price
Over £500,000 4% of entire purchase price

There may be additional stamp duty on new leases, eg on flats
